MVFP Featured in Charlottesville Tomorrow & IMHO Talk Show Story on Virginia's Historic Drought

Minority & Veteran Farmers of the Piedmont is proud to share a new story from Charlottesville Tomorrow and the In My Humble Opinion (IMHO) Talk Show examining how Virginia cattle producers responded to one of the most significant droughts in decades.

The story highlights the experiences of Virginia farmers, including Ralph Morton, a veteran farmer and MVFP leader, as they navigated feed shortages, declining hay production, and difficult management decisions while working to keep their farms operational. It also explores the role of regenerative agriculture, community support, and long-term resilience as producers prepare for future weather challenges.

We are grateful to Jesse Higgins, Charlottesville Tomorrow, and IMHO Talk Show for sharing the voices and experiences of Virginia farmers.

Watch and listen to the full story to learn more about the challenges, innovation, and perseverance found throughout Virginia's agricultural community.
